The LXRP Graduate experience
Ready to step into real-life work after you graduate? We hear you!
At LXRP, we provide a project-based, collaborative environment with industry experts and loads of support to get you contributing towards Victoria’s Big Build initiatives.
The LXRP Graduate Program is an immersive experience that includes:
- a structured learning program that spans over 2 years to support your continued development
- rotational roles through our diverse teams and divisions matched to your expertise, providing exposure to how LXRP delivers our projects
- a comprehensive onboarding and induction experience designed for graduates kicking off their career with LXRP.
Graduate roles are set up so you can contribute directly to the challenging work LXRP undertakes on some of Victoria’s key infrastructure projects.
Ongoing graduate development
Keen to keep learning and developing even though that degree is complete? Great!
As well as the multiple learning opportunities you’ll be exposed to in your day-to-day roles, we’ve designed a Graduate Learning Series (GLS) to support your continued development.
We created the GLS to grow your professional and interpersonal skills, and to support you to regularly connect with your graduate cohort. The GLS is one part of the program that consistently gets rave reviews from our current and past graduates.
We love that LXRP graduates complete our program with lasting connections with their peers and a commitment to self-directed learning.
LXRP program journey
What would your LX graduate experience look like? Check out how our graduates travel through their rotations and development experiences over the program.
Safety and wellbeing at LXRP
It’s no surprise that safety is one LXRP’s core values. Our award-winning LeadSafe program offers our employees – including our graduates – support for their health and wellbeing. The program includes everything from live interactive events to online resources that offer free exercise, cooking, and mindfulness activities.
Some of the standout experiences for our graduates have been visiting our sites and seeing our projects in action (when it’s safe to do so). To get you ‘site-ready’, when the time is right, graduates complete a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and receive full PPE (personal protective equipment) gear. Our LeadSafe mantra goes – ‘Safe to be well and well to be safe. Everywhere. Every day.’
Sustainability and environment at LXRP
At LXRP, we’re proud that our projects are leading the way in sustainability. As graduates, you will be too.
The activities we undertake, the materials we use, and the infrastructure we create will have an impact for generations to come. We must choose, design, and build wisely, to create a sustainable transport network that will transform the way Victorians live, work and travel.
We focus on 3 main areas where we have the greatest impact on sustainable outcomes for the community, economy or environment: materials and energy, climate resilience, and liveable communities.
We could go on about the 96% of construction waste that we’ve diverted from landfill (excluding spoil or contaminated waste) or the 782 million litres of water we saved (313 Olympic swimming pools), but you get the idea.
There’s plenty of opportunity for you to get involved once you’re onboard. Our ‘Green Team’ is committed to reducing our office footprint amongst other things, and are always keen for volunteers.
