A Vivid WIN for Echuca Moama

During Stage 3 of the Echuca-Moama Bridge Project, we have teamed up with construction partner, McConnell Dowell and local disability service provider Vivid to employ more than 20 adults living with disability to clean and maintain project site offices.

As of December 2021, Vivid supported employees had collectively contributed 30,000 work hours to the project.

Nine of these supported employees seized the opportunity to further expand their skills by undertaking a Certificate II in Cleaning Operations at Bendigo TAFE’s Echuca campus, graduating on Friday 28 January this year with their first formal, nationally recognised qualification.

The employment of the dedicated team of Vivid Work Crew supported employees has contributed to the Project’s Major Project Skills Guarantee target, which requires all construction projects valued at $20 million or more to use Victorian apprentices, trainees or cadets for at least 10 per cent of the total estimated labour hours.

Their employment also aligns with the Victorian Government’s Social Procurement framework, which encourages organisations to look at increasing social values and social inclusion outcomes across their working environments.
