Creative Program wins gold at Parkville

The artwork ‘Pretty Little Things’ in our Grattan St pedestrian gantries at the Parkville Station precinct has picked up one of the world’s most coveted design prizes - a Gold from the A’Design Award and Competition.

The Metro Tunnel Creative Program commissioned Melbourne Designer Beck Storer from The Cutaway to come up with a concept that would make 2 walkways surrounding its construction site brighter and with a design that reflected the work of the organisations in the precinct.

‘Pretty Little Things’ showcases the world of medical research, when viewed through a microscope, as one of wonder and beauty where nature and biology can be seen in the most delicate and intricate forms. The original images were taken by staff and students from Melbourne University as part of their research projects.
