Metro Tunnel Education Program launches online

In response to current coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions, Metro Tunnel HQ remains closed but the Education Program is now available online! With school visits on hold, we’ve refreshed our Education Program webpage to create a bright child-friendly place, and added a range of new videos, puzzles and challenges that will make any kid a Metro Tunnel expert in no time.

We have the following fantastic resources on offer:

  • Kids can complete a quiz, download colouring sheets or complete a station naming activity to earn their Metro Tunnel Master Badge.
  • The Construction Master Badge can be earned whilst learning about the basics of construction through a word search or maths activities such as “9 degrees of construction” and ‘voluminous matters”.
  • Mini Melbourne is a world-first resource brought to life for the Metro Tunnel Education Program. In partnership with the Victorian Department of Education and Training, we have created 600,000m2 of Melbourne’s city centre in Minecraft.
  • Discover a career in rail infrastructure. It’s not just engineering, big projects like ours require all sorts of different roles. As part of our online Education Program, you can learn from our employees about the different jobs created by the Metro Tunnel.

We will continue to build our resource library with downloadable packs for teachers and the chance for kids to earn their TBM license coming soon!
