‘Thank you’ to our life-saving medical researchers, clinicians and academics

Three portaits side by side, a man in between two women. Pictured under a large heading that says Thank You.

"At a time that can feel ambiguous and uncertain, our frontline healthcare workers and our clinicians and medical researchers can inspire confidence, and this series is a work of appreciation and acknowledgement.” – Phoebe Powell, photographer.

‘Thank you’, Phoebe Powell's photo essay is now on display at the Parkville Station site on Royal Parade. Rows of striking portraits honouring Parkville Biomedical Precinct staff for their life-saving role in keeping Victorians safe during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The photo essay forms part of the Metro Tunnel Creative Program and acknowledges some of the world’s leading medical researchers, clinicians and academics here in Victoria. From conducting tens of thousands of tests, to establishing safe clinical trials for potential treatments and supporting Australia’s preparedness and response strategy, we thank them for their tireless work.

To view all portraits in the photo essay, see the Parkville Biomedical Precinct page on the Metro Tunnel website.
