Game changing facilities delivered at Veneto Club

North East Link’s $68 million investment in local sporting clubs is delivering game-changing benefits, with upgrades at Veneto Club now complete.

As we prepare to start major construction later this year, 19 sports grounds across Melbourne’s northern and eastern suburbs are being upgraded with improved playing surfaces, flood lights and six brand-new pavilions to support football, cricket and soccer.

Veneto Club’s new field lights allow matches and training to be held at night, and their brand-new synthetic soccer pitch provides a stronger playing surface that allows triple the usage compared to their previous natural turf field.

With the brand-new synthetic soccer pitch, lighting, behind goal and boundary fencing; and new club changerooms, these upgrades will allow Veneto Club to host more soccer in the future.

Veneto Club now has the capacity to accommodate all FC Bulleen Lions teams, including those who will be relocating from Bulleen Park, until construction of the new Templestowe Road Soccer Facility is complete.

We’ve worked closely with Veneto Club over 18 months to deliver these exciting upgrades, which are the first to be completed under North East Link’s massive investment in local sports grounds.
