Pedestrian underpass to connect community around Mordialloc Freeway

Back to Newsfeed

We’re making good progress to build the pedestrian underpass at Braeside Park as part of the Mordialloc Freeway project.

We started work on the underpass in late March and have already built the base, walls and roof of the structure.

In total, over 1,000 cubic metres of concrete and 171 tonnes of reinforced steel will be used to build the underpass.

Over the coming months we’ll continue to bring in material to build the foundations of the freeway around and over the underpass.

Once the project is complete, the well-lit, 6-metre-wide underpass will maintain the important connection between Braeside park and the Woodlands Industrial Estate.
