Cross Yarra Partnership and Clean Force Property Services
Clean Force has been engaged with major contractor Cross Yarra Parntership Design and Construction (CYP D&C) since 2018.They have employed 25 people, working more than 15,000 hours, 6389 of those hours have been worked by Priority job seekers.
Clean Force Property Services is a social enterprise and Australian Disability Enterprise of WISE Employment Ltd. They provide commercial cleaning services and have been operating since 2001. Clean Force employs more than 350 people, up to half of whom are disadvantaged or have a disability.
As a small to medium enterprise, Clean Force faces ongoing challenges with growth. They are investing heavily in information technology and people to help them meet Quality, WHS and Environmental standards, while continuing to meet customer expectations.
There has been a range of benefits from the relationship between CYP D&C, the Metro Tunnel Project and Clean Force Property Services. CYP D&C has spent more than $2 million on cleaning services as well as providing plenty of opportunities for disadvantaged employees for continued work over the lifetime of the project.
CYP D&C has provided consistent employment opportunities with Clean Force for those suffering mental health issues, migrants and the long term unemployed. They have also provided financial stability for families – leading to some migrant employees purchasing their own homes. The work has provided individuals with a sense of purpose, and improved people's lives.
All of their growth in recent years in the Victorian infrastructure sector can be directly attributed to the impetus created by the Social Procurement Framework for Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors to engage with organisations like Clean Force.
