Level Crossing Removal Project

Find a job on the Level Crossing Removal Project

It's the largest public transport project in Victoria’s history, creating nearly 7,000 jobs, including at least 500 apprentices, trainees and engineering cadets

The West Gate Tunnel project is creating 6,000 new jobs, including 500 jobs for people entering the workforce, and up to 150 jobs for former auto workers.

Training for the Future

The Victorian Government is developing a rail industry skills program, Training for the Future, to prepare Australians to deliver projects on the Melbourne rail network over the next ten years and beyond.

Training for the Future is creating the new generation of rail talent for Victoria. It will contribute to the Victorian families and the economy, providing opportunities to re-skill those who have relevant experience from industries in decline, as well as training people from disadvantaged communities.

The key elements of Training for the Future include:

  • Victorian industry capability
  • Skills development
  • Diversity and social inclusion opportunities.

This initiative is led by the Level Crossing Removal Authority, with input from Melbourne Metro Rail Authority, Metro Trains Melbourne, Public Transport Victoria, V/Line and industry partners.

For more information and to find a program that’s right for you, visit the Level Crossing Removal website.
