VTDE training and access
This page hosts instructional guides and videos designed to assist our Victorian transport stakeholders in the adoption of new ways of working.
Digital engineering for projects
Victorian Transport Digital Engineering (VTDE) is updating and developing new digital engineering standards, processes and tools for use in transport projects. This new suite will define how our industry partners work with Victoria's Big Build and the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) in the future.
Victorian Transport Asset Management Platform (VTAMP)
VTAMP, launched in February 2025 and owned by the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP), offers a modern spatial interface and a better, simpler user experience for viewing transport asset data, imagery and 3D models. It allows streamlined loading of up-to-date data, imagery and 3D models within best-of-breed applications that provide a strong foundation and future roadmap for VIDA, DTP and all of Victorian transport.
Two of the applications that are part of VTAMP may be applicable to your work within Big Build projects, transport operators or maintenance partners:
- DTP’s Transport Asset Spatial (TAS) application runs on ESRI ArcGIS. This is the most common access point for users looking to view transport asset information, locations, imagery and related 3D models.

In May 2026, it replaced DTP's legacy Drawing Management System (DMS) as the storage system for drawings. TCDE receives, stores and provides access to transport asset drawings, documents and 3D models produced by the Big Build, DTP projects and transport operators' projects.
