5 November 2025
We’re upgrading Boronia Station and building a new landscaped plaza on Dorset Road to deliver a modern and accessible precinct for the community.
What we’re doing
From Monday 10 November, we’ll start setting up a temporary site compound at 257 Dorset Road, Boronia. We’ll use this area until the project is finished in 2026 for our offices, worker facilities, and storing construction equipment. During this time, we’ll install and set up temporary buildings, fencing, hoarding and barriers to secure the area.
See map below for where we’ll set up our project site area.
What to expect during project set-up
The site will take around 6 weeks to set up. These works will take place Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm and Saturday 7am to 3pm. During this time you may notice:
- workers and construction vehicles in the area, including cranes and trucks
- traffic management, including intermittent road and footpath closures, and car park closures to help crews safely deliver materials
- medium noise from machinery and equipment
Changes to the way you travel
Lupton Way
- Trucks delivering site sheds to site compound area.
- Intermittent road closure on Lupton Way between Dorset Road and Chandler Road from Monday 10 to Monday 17 November. Traffic management in place.
255 Dorset Road
- Crane operating in site compound to position site sheds.
- Approx. 4 parking closures behind 255 Dorset Road from Monday 10 to Monday 17 November.
What to expect once the site is established and operational
The sites will mainly operate during normal construction hours, Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm, and Saturday 7am to 3pm. When we need to work outside of these hours during peak construction periods we'll notify you in advance. While we are working in the area, there will be:
- reduced speed limits and traffic management in place around our works
- an increase in construction vehicles, delivery trucks and machinery
- an increase in construction noise, vibration and dust. Our team will have controls in place to reduce and monitor these impacts
- increased activity from project members accessing and working at the site
- local footpath and on-street parking closures may be in place at times – please follow directional signage.
