We're opening West Tarneit Station on Sunday 13 September. Passenger services at the new station will begin with the first train that day.

When trains stop at the new station on the Geelong Line, passengers will have access to 2 platforms, an accessible pedestrian underpass, a 400-space car park, 4-bay bus interchange, and secure bicycle parking and bicycle hoops.

Here’s what you need to know about getting to West Tarneit Station.

From south of the rail line

Access via Leakes Road

Buses, cars, pedestrians and cyclists can access the station via Leakes Road.

A new intersection on Leakes Road, at Heartlands Boulevard, has traffic lights and pedestrian crossings to provide a safe connection to the new station access road called Mainstay Boulevard.

Access via Modern Crescent path

Pedestrians can also enter the station precinct via Modern Crescent.

There's no access to West Tarneit Station from Style Way, Brighter Avenue, or Friend Way.

From north of the rail line

Pedestrians and cyclists enter the new West Tarneit Station from Ceremony Drive.

There is no vehicle access to the station from the north. Drivers can take Davis Road or Tarneit Road to access Leakes Road, and then Mainstay Boulevard.

Bus connections

A new Route 186 bus will operate daily services between Tarneit Station and West Tarneit Station via Dohertys Road, improving connections for communities north of the station.

For residents further south, the existing Route 182 from Tarneit Station to Werribee Station will run more frequently and will also travel via the new West Tarneit Station.
