What's happening?

Site establishment

From January, the Bayswater Level Crossing project team will be moving on-site. We will establish a project site office and start identifying key underground services, such as water and electricity, and start relocating these where necessary. We will also begin construction of the new station building  and bus interchange.

To make room for construction there will be changes to parking and bus stop locations at Bayswater Station.

Changes to station parking and bus stop location

Station parking

Approximately 100 car spaces are currently closed at Bayswater Station. Further closures are expected in early 2016.

Station car park users should check signs at the station for future car space closures. See map for more information.

Bus stop relocations

From Wednesday 27 January, bus stops currently located in the Bayswater bus interchange will be relocated to temporary bus stops in Pine Road and Station Street. These changes will remain in place for the duration of the project.

Please see map overleaf for more information on bus bay locations and affected route numbers.

For journey planning and service information please visit PTV or call 1800 800 007 6am to midnight daily (all night Friday and Saturday).

Keeping you informed

Community information sessions

In November 2015, we held two community information sessions at the Knox Community Arts Centre. Both sessions were well attended by residents and local traders and provided us with a great opportunity to introduce you to the project.

Thank you to everyone who took the opportunity to come. We gained some valuable feedback on topics that are important to you, such as car parking around the station and in Mountain Highway.

As part of our commitment to keeping you informed, we have planned the following community information sessions:

Saturday 5 March – 9am to 12.30pm

Wednesday 9 March – 5pm to 8pm

Project Visitor Information Centre, Station Street, Bayswater (in front of Bayswater Station)

Project visitor information centre

Our site facility will include a Project Visitor Information Centre where you can view maps and detailed designs of the project. Here, we can also guide you through a virtual experience of the finished design using our digital engineering application on iPad.

The Centre will give you the opportunity to meet the project team and ask questions about upcoming works as the project progresses. Opening times will be advertised shortly and we look forward to seeing you soon.
