The Lilydale Line is level crossing free – a year ahead of schedule.

We’ve removed the dangerous and congested level crossings at Bedford Road, Ringwood and Dublin Road, Ringwood East, and opened the new Ringwood East Station.

Power pit works will take place at the southern end of Bona Street, near the intersection with Patterson Street, each day from 7am, Monday 24 November until 5pm, Friday 28 November 2025.

These works will occur during daytime hours, with a section of Bona Street closed 24/7 during the works period. A generator will provide power for a single household and there are no other planned power impacts during this time.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times and no driveway access will be impacted. A detour will be in place to ensure local traffic enters & exits Bona Street via Mount Dandenong Road or Freeman Street.

What to expect

• Power pit works including earthworks, craneage, asphalting and overhead power works.
• A section of Bona Street closed at the southern end for 5 days from 7am, Monday 24 November until 5pm, Friday 28 November, with a local detour in place. Please take care when moving around the works areas and pay attention to detour signs in place.
• These works will include delivery of materials, plant and machinery, road asphalting, and other work activities.
• You may experience moderate noise from machinery during daytime hours.
• Please be aware works can sometimes take longer than expected or need to be rescheduled due to weather and other factors outside of our control.
