19 December 2025

We're removing the dangerous and congested level crossings at Armstrongs Road and Station Street, Seaford by building two separate rail bridges over the roads to make Seaford boom gate free. We’ll also build a new modern and accessible Seaford Station.

We’re carrying out site investigations until mid February to better understand the local area and inform the project’s concept designs.

What we’re doing

We’ll be locating underground services and testing ground conditions from Monday to Friday, Wednesday 10 December to Wednesday 17 December and from Thursday 15 January to mid February.

Works will take place in along the rail line, in Seaford Station car park, on the walking and cycling path between Seaford Road and Coolibar Avenue, and near Railway Parade, Armstrongs Road and Station and Hazel streets.

A temporary site facility will be set up in the Seaford Station car park from Tuesday 13 January to mid February.

What to expect

  • Intermittent lane closures on Railway Parade, Armstrongs Road and Hazel Street from 9.30am to 3.30pm, weekdays
  • Intermittent walking and cycling pathway closures
  • Up to 33 car spaces closed in the southwest corner of the Seaford Station car park for temporary site facilities
  • Traffic management and signage will be in place to guide you around the area
  • Increased construction vehicles and equipment in the area.

We’ll make every effort to complete works on schedule; however dates are subject to change.
