2 October 2026

We're removing the dangerous and congested level crossings at Armstrongs Road and Station Street, Seaford by building 2 separate rail bridges over the roads to make Seaford boom gate free. We’ll also build a new modern and accessible Seaford Station.

We’re continuing site investigations in October to better understand local conditions and inform the design of the rail bridges and the new elevated Seaford Station.

What we’re doing

We’ll also be testing underground services along Railway Parade between Station Street and Armstrongs Road from 9:30am to 3:30pm, Wednesday 14 October.

We’ll also be undertaking track surveys within the rail corridor between Eel Race Road and Coolibar Avenue at night from 11pm to 4am, Wednesday 14 October and Thursday 15 October.

What to expect

  • Lane closures and traffic management on Railway Parade for underground services testing.
  • Surveyors walking the rail corridor and using hand tools for track survey night works.
  • Increased workers and vehicles in the area.

We’ll make every effort to complete works on schedule; however dates are subject to change.
