20 January 2026
We're removing the dangerous and congested level crossings at Armstrongs Road and Station Street, Seaford by building two separate rail bridges over the roads to make Seaford boom gate free. We’ll also build a new modern and accessible Seaford Station.
We’re undertaking site investigations to better understand local conditions and inform the project’s concept designs from Wednesday 28 January to late February.
What we’re doing
We’ll undertake investigations from:
- 1am to 4am, Wednesday 28 January and Thursday 29 January in the rail corridor between McKenzie and Hazel streets while trains are not running
- 7am to 6pm, Monday 2 February to late February near the level crossings and in the rail corridor.
Changes to the way you travel
Road
To safely conduct these works, Armstrongs Road will be closed from Kananook Creek to Railway Parade from 7am, Monday 2 February to 6pm, Friday 6 February.
Traffic management will be in place with detours for vehicles, pedestrians and bike riders during this time. Please see the map below:

What to expect
- Construction workers with digging equipment and vehicles in the area
- Low levels of noise
Access to homes and businesses will be maintained at all times.
We’ll make every effort to complete works on schedule, however dates are subject to change.
