18 June 2025
We’re removing 4 dangerous and congested level crossings at Coburns, Exford and Ferris roads in Melton, and Hopkins Road in Truganina to make Melton boom gate free in 2026. We’re also building a new modern and accessible Melton Station.
What we're doing
Construction is underway for the new Melton Station and the rail bridges over Coburns and Exford roads.
Brooklyn Road will be closed between Exford Road and Hazel Street from 8pm, Friday 27 June to 4am, Saturday 28 June for asphalting and line marking works.
During these works there will be road, pedestrian and car park impacts. Please follow signage and direction from traffic controllers.
