1 April 2026

We’re removing 4 dangerous and congested level crossings at Coburns, Exford and Ferris roads in Melton, and Hopkins Road in Truganina to make Melton boom gate free in 2026. We’re also building a new modern and accessible Melton Station.

We’re removing the level crossing at Hopkins Road by constructing a new road bridge over the rail line.

In April and May, we'll close Hopkins Road while we work 24/7 to connect the new bridge with the existing road. Thank you for your patience while we complete this important infrastructure project.
