We’ve removed 4 level crossings at Hopkins Road in Truganina and Ferris Road, Exford Road and Coburns Road in Melton, making Melton level crossing free. The new modern and accessible Melton Station is also open.

The new Hopkins Road bridge is open to traffic, with the dangerous and congested level crossing gone for good. Thank you for your patience while we completed these important works.

During November and December, we’ll:

• undertake permanent lighting works
• continue landscaping and finishing works in the area.

What to expect

• There may be increased construction personnel, vehicles and equipment in the area.
• Traffic management, including lane closures and reduced speed limits at times.
• General working hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm and Saturday, from 7am to 3pm, with some out of hours works necessary at times.
