26 August 2026
We’ve removed the level crossings at Hopkins Road in Truganina and Ferris Road in Melton. The new modern and accessible Melton Station will open and the boom gates will be gone at Coburns and Exford roads making Melton level crossing free in September.
In September and October, we’ll complete street lighting works, continue to demobilise our temporary site compounds, remove construction equipment and undertake landscaping in the area.
Overnight lane closures and resurfacing works
We’ll work overnight from 9pm to 5am at times from mid September to carry out works on street lighting underground cables. Hopkins Road will be reduced to one lane to safely facilitate these works. Vehicle access in both directions will be maintained. Expect minor delays at times.
We’ll also work from late September to complete re-surfacing works on Greigs Road and Clara Avenue. Local access will be maintained.
