29 January 2026
We’re removing 4 dangerous and congested level crossings at Coburns, Exford and Ferris roads in Melton, and Hopkins Road in Truganina to make Melton boom gate free in 2026. We’re also building a new modern and accessible Melton Station.
We’re removing the level crossing at Hopkins Road by building a new road bridge over the rail line. Thank you for your patience while we continue this important infrastructure project.
What we're doing
- continue landscaping the embankment and preparing the area for asphalting
- construct the new shared use path along Hopkins Road and install handrailing.
