21 March 2025

We’re removing 4 dangerous and congested level crossings at Coburns, Exford and Ferris roads in Melton, and Hopkins Road in Truganina to make Melton boom gate free in 2026. We’re also building a new modern and accessible Melton Station.

What we’re doing

Construction is underway for the new Melton Station and the rail bridges over Coburns and Exford roads.

Throughout April, we’ll continue relocating utilities and installing underground services, ahead of works to start building a temporary station and bus interchange off Brooklyn Road.

During these works there will be road, pedestrian and car park impacts. Please follow signage and direction from traffic controllers in the area.
