We’re removing 4 dangerous and congested level crossings at Coburns, Exford and Ferris roads in Melton, and Hopkins Road in Truganina to make Melton boom gate free this year. We’re also building a new modern and accessible Melton Station that will open later this year.

What we’re doing

To build the new Melton Station northern forecourt and entrance we’re closing car spaces at Melton Station from Monday 18 May to Monday 10 August. Approximately 400 car spaces will be available during these works. Please see map over the page.

A free shuttle bus service will transport passengers from the north-western car park on Brooklyn Road to the temporary station from 6am to 9am and 3pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Where possible, passengers are encouraged to use alternative transport to travel to and from Melton Station.

Alternative all-day car parking is available at Caroline Springs Station, for travel towards the city, and Bacchus Marsh Station, for travel towards Ballarat. Car park availability may vary at these stations.

Please plan ahead and allow extra time.

Accessible parking will be maintained at all times, however the location of accessible parking may change during these works.

We’ll make every effort to complete works on schedule; however, dates are subject to change.
