We’re removing 4 dangerous and congested level crossings at Coburns, Exford and Ferris roads in Melton, and Hopkins Road in Truganina to make Melton boom gate free next year. We’re also building a new modern and accessible Melton Station.

What we’re doing

We’re changing road conditions on Staughton Street, between Coburns Road and Cooper Street, closing the west bound lane and removing on-street parking to maintain two-way traffic from 5am, Monday 2 February until September.

To continue building the new Melton Station we’ll be working in the rail corridor at night from 9pm to 4am, Sunday 1 February to Wednesday 4 February.

While we complete these works, there will be service changes on the Ballarat, Ararat and Maryborough lines from 9pm, Sunday 1 February to last service, Tuesday 3 February.

Visit transport.vic.gov.au for more information and to plan your journey. Please allow extra travel time.
