20 December 2024

The Lilydale Line is level crossing free – a year ahead of schedule.

The dangerous and congested level crossing and roundabout at Coolstore Road, Croydon has been removed with trains now running along the new rail bridge and cars traveling along the new Kent Avenue to Lacey Street road connection.

The new Croydon Bus Interchange is now open, along with the central station carpark which provides 73 car spaces. Works are continuing on the remaining car parks, landscaping, drainage and final road works across the precinct to be completed in early 2025.

Works will take a short break over the holiday period from Friday 20 December to Tuesday 14 January.
