27 February 2024

We’re removing the level crossings at Dublin Road, Ringwood East and Bedford Road, Ringwood, which will make Ringwood level crossing free in 2024, a year ahead of schedule.

We are continuing works to upgrade rail signalling and underground power and equipment, also known as Combined Service Route (CSR), in a small section of the rail corridor, opposite Croydon Way and Montana Parade.

Upcoming 24/7 works and Lilydale Line disruptions

We’ll work on certain nights whilst trains aren’t running along the rail corridor and at the Dublin Road level crossing. During this time buses will replace trains on sections of the Lilydale line, between Blackburn and Lilydale. Visit the PTV website for further information and updates.

What we’re doing

We’ll work at night in a small section of the rail corridor from:

  • 7pm Wednesday 20 March until 7am Friday 22 March

Works will include non-destructive digging and installation of cabling. There may be some noise while crews work in the rail corridor.

Traffic management

To ensure the safety of road users during these works, traffic management controls will be in place around the works area. This includes intermittent ‘stop and slow’ and reduced speed limits along a small section of Croydon Way.
