23 September 2024
We’ve removed the Dublin Road level crossing and opened a new Ringwood East Station, with trains now running along a new rail trench – a year ahead of schedule.
We are continuing works to upgrade rail signalling and underground power and equipment, also known as Combined Service Route (CSR), in a small section of the rail corridor, opposite Croydon Way and Montana Parade. These works were due to be completed in August and have now been rescheduled to be completed by late October.
What we’re doing
We’ll work in the rail corridor whilst trains aren’t running on the Lilydale Line from Friday 11 October until Monday 14 October. We’ll work during the day from 7am until 7pm, each day.
Works will include digging, stump grinding, and excavation works. There may be some noise while crews work in the rail corridor.
Traffic management
To ensure the safety of road users and pedestrians during these works, traffic management controls will be in place around the works area. This includes the closure of the Maroondah Scenic Walk shared use path between Cheong Street and Moralla Avenue from 7am Saturday 12 October until 7am Monday 14 October.
