The Level Crossing Removal Project’s commitment to removing 110 dangerous and congested level crossings by 2030 continues to be guided by the project’s Sustainability Plan and the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.

As such, the LXRP works in alignment with alliance partners such as the North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) to deliver infrastructure projects that achieve long-term benefits for the environment and the community.

The North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) 2024 Sustainability Report incorporates the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Index that robustly frames the Alliance’s sustainability performance and outcomes.

This report encompasses the key social, environmental and economic achievements of projects in delivery or completed during 2024 and highlights case studies from a range of projects to demonstrate NWPA’s ongoing journey to sustainability and ecological excellence.

NWPA’s sustainability vision includes the Level Crossing Removal Project’s (LXRP) 5 strategic objectives, known to the Alliance as the Five Greats.
