Landscaping works
We've removed four dangerous and congested level crossings at Oakover Road, Bell Street, Cramer Street and Murray Road, and opened the new Bell and Preston stations.
What we're doing
From mid-May until the end of the month, we will be carrying out final landscaping works across the rail corridor, including in the Emery and Herbert streets area. Across the corridor we will be planting over 200 trees across 15 species, including Kanooka Gums, Dwarf Lemon Scented Gums and Yellow Bloodwoods.
Before planting can take place, we will undertake drainage works near Emery Street, revitalise garden beds and deposit new topsoil.
Drainage works will take place near Emery and Herbert streets from 7am to 5pm, Monday 20 May to Friday 25 May.
We will complete final landscaping works once drainage works are finished.
What to expect
- Truck and vehicle movements around the area
- Noise from machinery used to dig the ground.
We will make every effort to complete works on schedule; however, times and dates are subject to change. For your safety, please follow signage and instructions from traffic management when travelling around the area.
