The Victorian Government is removing the level crossing at Station Street, Officer.

To inform the final designs of the Station Street, Officer Level Crossing Removal Project, we will continue to undertake site investigations and assessments in the area in early 2024.

What we're doing

Site investigations will continue to take place near the Station Street, Officer level crossing and within the rail corridor.

During this time, we’ll undertake:

  • ecological and Cultural Heritage assessments
  • service investigations
  • surveying
  • noise monitoring
  • traffic counting
  • localised geotechnical drilling.

What to expect

  • Increased construction personnel, vehicles and equipment in the area
  • Increased noise and vibration
  • Reduced speed limits
  • Detour signage and wayfinding.

We’ll be working from Thursday 1 February to March 2024. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm and Saturdays 7am to 5pm. Some out of hours works will be required at times.

Changes to the way you travel

At times we will need to close lanes and reduce speed limits on Station Street and Officer South Road to undertake these works. Traffic and pedestrian management will be in place to help you move safely around the area.
