10 January 2025

We’re upgrading Ballarat Station to improve accessibility, safety, and connectivity for all public transport users, while considering the heritage of the station.

We’re committed to delivering an accessible pedestrian overpass, with a lift and stairs to each platform, and an upgrade to the northern station entrance in 2026.

We’re continuing preparatory works in February, to prepare for major construction to start soon afterwards.

The Ballarat Station Upgrade final designs are now available to view at Engage Victoria where you can also ask a question and register for one of our information sessions. This online engagement hub will be open for questions regarding the final designs until 11.59pm Monday 27 January.

Please call our 24/7 contact centre on 1800 105 105 if you have any other questions on the project.
