The Victorian Government is moving forward with the Boronia Station upgrade, which will deliver a modern and accessible station for the community.
The Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) is continuing site investigations in and around Boronia Station, which will assist in planning for upcoming improvements to the station precinct. LXRP is also undertaking other ongoing work in the local area to make the Belgrave Line level crossing-free between Ferntree Gully and the City.
This works notice provides key information about works around Boronia Station Reserve and Lupton Way, Boronia.
What we’re doing
Site investigations include:
- Survey and visual inspections.
- Geotechnical investigations, which involves drilling in the ground to examine ground conditions.
- Locating existing underground utilities such as water, sewer, gas, electricity, and telecommunications.
What to expect
Lupton Way and Boronia Reserve will be temporarily closed from Monday 13 November to Saturday 18 November.
Pedestrian access and local vehicle access into driveways on Lupton Way will be maintained, including access for garbage collection.
While we work, up to 10 car spaces in Lupton Way and the Woolworths carpark will be temporarily closed for construction vehicles.
Traffic management will be in place to safely guide you around the works area.

When we’ll work
We’ll work during normal construction hours from 7am-6pm Monday to Friday and 7am-1pm on Saturdays. Lupton way will be closed for the duration of these works.
