The second stage of the Hurstbridge Line Duplication will deliver further improvements, including more train services, less crowding on peak trains and better connections to public transport in Melbourne’s northeast.

Works taking place

On Thursday 31 August, road resurfacing works will take place overnight between 9pm and 5am along Station Road, Montmorency. Detours will be in place during this time.

What to expect

• Construction workers, vehicles and equipment on site undertaking the works.
• Noise and light spill while work takes place. Noise may include profiling to remove the road surface, asphalt paving machinery, support vehicles and crew undertaking works.
• Driveway vehicle access will be unavailable for a short period when works are directly outside properties, access to driveways will be open outside of these times.
• Until the works are fully completed, discrepancies between the road and driveway levels are likely. Drivers are urged to use caution when entering or exiting their driveway until works have completed.
• Temporary traffic lane closures and detours during works. Traffic management will be in place to help you move safely through the area.
• Pedestrian access to residential properties and businesses will always be maintained.
