We’re removing the level crossings at Old Calder Highway and Watsons Road, Diggers Rest, improving local safety, and making the Sunbury Line level crossing-free in 2025.

We are preparing the Old Calder Highway and Watsons Road level crossing removal sites for major construction later in the year.

Between 12am on 4am on Friday 7 June 2024, we will carry out overnight track maintenance and equipment installation in the rail corridor near the Old Calder Highway and Watsons Road level crossings while trains are not running.

What we’re doing

During these works, we will:

• Install track monitoring equipment near the Old Calder Highway and Watsons Road level crossings
• Undertake track maintenance near the Watsons Road level crossing

When we’ll work

• 12am to 4am, Friday 7 June

What to expect

You may notice:

• Work crews and construction vehicles (including track machinery at Watsons Road) in the area
• Low to moderate noise while we conduct these works
• Lighting to safely facilitate works
