The Industry Capability and Inclusion team’s third annual 'Training For The Future' report has just been released.
This program has worked with industry to address critical skills shortages and improve talent pathways into the rail industry. Training for the Future has consistently led the way by providing training for the vital infrastructure work being undertaken across Victoria. The program is a reminder of the power that collaboration can achieve when governments, organisations and industry come together to make a difference.
Some of the highlights report include:
- 28,476 students trained at the Victorian Rail Academy
- 881 participants in the Women In Transport mentoring program
- $130 million in social procurement spending
- 352 people participating in the GROW/Transit programs
We look forward to keep working even harder over the next year to to provide more well trained key staff to support Victoria's infrastructure big build.
