In November and December, we will undertake works to locate underground services and survey conditions around the Albion Station precinct in preparation for future works in the area.

What we’re doing

We will conduct surveying works using hand-held equipment at and around the following locations:

• The northern section of the Albion Station car park and the station underpass
• Talmage Street
• Ferguson Street
• The vacant land between Sydney Street and Albion Station
• St Albans Road between Gilmour Road and Albion Station
• Sydney Street between Derrimut and Bazentin streets, including the roundabouts
• The Ballarat Road service roads between Adelaide Street and Anderson Road
• Anderson Road between Ridley Street and Foundry Road

In addition, we will be using a specialised truck that uses water and suction to carefully dig around underground services in the following areas:

• The Albion Station car park, near the station entrance
• The vacant land between Talmage Street and the Albion Station car park

What to expect

• Work crews, machinery and construction vehicles in the area
• Low to moderate levels of construction noise at various times
• Minor delays and speed reductions in place while we work on the roads
• Traffic management and minor pedestrian and cyclist detours in place at times

When we’ll work

Works will take place at times between Thursday 5 November and Tuesday 22 December.

We’ll work regular hours:

• Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm
• Saturdays, 7am to 1pm
