When the Metro Tunnel opens in 2025 the Sunbury, Cranbourne and Pakenham lines will run through new tunnels under Melbourne’s CBD stopping at five new underground train stations.

It will mean more ways to move around Melbourne, new connections and more choice.

Services for Sunbury, Cranbourne and Pakenham line passengers will go through the new tunnel instead of the City Loop.
