Welcome to your new Ford Park sports facilities

Major upgrades at Ford Park are now complete with a new pavilion, natural turf AFL/cricket oval and multi-use court to keep sports clubs playing and thriving while North East Link is built and beyond.

Since construction began last winter, crews have been working hard to deliver the upgrades, which also includes office facilities and social space, a public exercise circuit, cricket practice nets, a basketball half court and an upgraded car park.

Community open day

You’ll have the opportunity to come and see these massive upgrades for yourself once Coronavirus restrictions have eased.

Ford Park has brought the community together for over 5 decades and these upgrades will ensure that Ford Park remains a great place for the community to meet, play sport and enjoy for many years to come.

Extensive tree planting and landscaping activities have also helped green the area for many years to come. More than 100 trees have been planted including spotted gum, manna gum, blackwood, yellow gum and maple trees.

The new look Ford Park will be the temporary home for the Yarra Junior Football League (YJFL), who will move from Bulleen Park during major construction of North East Link. They will join Ford Park’s existing sports groups, Bellfield Cricket Club, Ivanhoe Junior Football Club and the community, who will all benefit from the new facilities.

The new look Ford Park is part of our $68 million investment in local sports upgrades, supporting the north east community as we build North East Link.
