Works are progressing across all of our sites with foundations for structures and bridges beginning to form on the freeway shoulders and centre median.

Construction snapshot

Over 100 Super T beams have been installed to support a newly aligned Bulleen Road. Crews will now focus on completing the top deck of Bulleen Road in readiness for opening to traffic later this year.

Across Bulleen, Balwyn North, Doncaster, and Mont Albert North we'll continue piling, earthworks, drainage installation, utility relocations, asphalting, site investigations and barrier realignments to widen the freeway, and build new ramps and bridges.

When are we working

Day works 7am to 6pm from Monday to Friday and 7am to 3pm Saturdays and Sundays

Night works 7pm to 6am from Monday to Saturday

24-hour works (at times)

North East Link Tunnels and future Manningham Road Interchange

As part of works to build the North East Link tunnel entrance, Bulleen Road will be closed in both directions between Manningham Road and Thompsons Road from 16 to 19 May. Detours will be in place and local access will be maintained.

There will also be lane closures on Bulleen Road at times in May and July.

Traffic management will be in place to guide road users through the area. Please observe on road signage, plan your travel, and allow additional time. Visit bigbuild.vic.gov.au for the latest information
