Daytime site investigations for Eastern Freeway Upgrades
We're getting ready to upgrade the Eastern Freeway.
What we’re doing
To prepare for the Eastern Freeway Upgrades, we’ll be carrying out site investigations including soil testing along Koonung Creek Linear Reserve in Box Hill North and Doncaster to help inform the project’s design and planning.
This will involve:
- digging into the ground using small construction machinery
- collecting samples from the soil using a mechanical sieve, as required
- installing a small, fenced compound to store equipment for the duration of the investigations
- reinstating and restoring the site following the completion of works, including removing all signage and the works compound.
Where and when we'll be working
From Monday 30 October until Friday 3 November, we'll be working in Eram Park and the Koonung Creek Linear Reserve (south of Larkspur Avenue, Doncaster).
Works will take place between 8am and 5pm.
