Major works at Grimshaw Street Interchange  – from Spring 2025

What you need to know

Major construction on the new Grimshaw Street Interchange is starting soon. During September, there will be intermittent day and night traffic changes, including lane and road closures, on Grimshaw Street and local streets.

Throughout October 2025, Grimshaw Street will be closed in both directions between Greensborough Bypass and William Street, as we begin major works to construct the new Grimshaw Street Interchange. During this time, buses will replace trains on the Hurstbridge line, between Eltham and Heidelberg.

Late 2025 major works – west side of interchange

From early November to mid-December, Grimshaw Street will be closed between Macorna Street and Greensborough Bypass, with 24 hour works on the road to build the west side of the Grimshaw Street Interchange.

Please plan your trip and allow additional travel time. Disruption dates are subject to change.
