3 September 2021 to 31 December 2022

Ramp closures

From Friday 17 September until Monday 18 October, the West Gate Tunnel Project will be closing the following two freeway ramps:

  • Grieve Parade to West Gate Freeway entry ramp (heading citybound), and
  • Princes Freeway to Geelong Road ramp (heading citybound).

This means motorists will need to use designated detour routes, please see maps on following pages. The ramps will be closed so we can safely carry out 24/7 freeway widening works as part of the Spring construction blitz. It is recommended that motorists allow up to 20 minutes additional travel time during peak periods. Please follow all traffic management / detour signage.

We will also be continuing overnight noise wall works between Millers Road and Grieve Parade. These works are scheduled to continue until late-2021. The project team will be in touch with adjacent households prior to these works taking place and if the schedule changes.
