There will be overnight closures of the West Gate Freeway to install overhead signage and gantries.

We’ll be working nightly from Monday 29 April to Wednesday 1 May 2024.

What we’ll be doinng

These overnight closures are required to install full span overhead signage and gantries along the West Gate Freeway.

Impacts

The West Gate Freeway will be closed in both directions between Millers Road and Williamstown Road nightly from Monday 29 April to Wednesday 1 May 2024:

• Freeway inbound closed from 10pm to 5am.
• Freeway outbound closed from 10. 30pm to 5am.

The following ramp closures will also be required

• The Grieve Parade inbound entry ramp closed from 10pm to 5am.
• The Princes Freeway inbound entry ramp to the West Gate Freeway closed from 10pm to 5am.

Please note there will be further freeway closures throughout May. We’ll continue to keep you informed as work progresses.

Changes to the way you travel

While roads and ramps are closed, detours will be in place. Please follow the on-road signs, check traffic media reports and drive carefully.

Please allow for extra travel time during these closures.
