Expressions of interest are now open for tenants for the Campbell Arcade shopfronts.
The beloved and historically significant Campbell Arcade has been closed for nearly 3 years while work was underway to connect Flinders Street Station to the new Town Hall Station.
When the Metro Tunnel opens later this year, Campbell Arcade will become the point where passengers transfer between these two stations.
During the closure of the arcade, crews undertook upgrade and restoration works, preserving its key heritage features. This includes the shopfronts that made it such an iconic destination for Melburnians and visitors alike.
Campbell Arcade was the first major public construction project in Melbourne after World War II and was listed on the Victorian Heritage Register in a revision to the Flinders Street Station listing in 2015.
Completed in time for the 1956 Melbourne Olympics, it features pink-tiled curved walls, granite columns and display windows.
The expressions of interest process and leasing of the 8 shopfronts will be managed by Cushman & Wakefield on behalf of Metro Trains. Expressions of interest close Sunday 6 April 2025.
