The poppies are designed to look like they grow from the ground, just like flowers in Flanders Fields.
This artwork is called A Path of Remembrance is now open to the public for viewing.
When Anzac Station opens along with the rest of the Metro Tunnel in early December, you’ll be able to view artwork by Fiona Hall on the station concourse, commemorating Australia’s military history through the story of two Victorian-bred carrier pigeons, awarded the animal equivalent of the Victoria Cross.
