We’re getting ready to move a vital piece of Melbourne’s sewer network – the Yarra East Main Sewer, ahead of major construction in 2021.
The current Yarra East Main Sewer (YEMS), runs under Bulleen Road and is a major sewer that services thousands of homes and businesses in Melbourne’s north east.
CPB Contractors are leading these works which includes moving a new section of the sewer east of Bulleen Road to connect back to the existing YEMS at the Eastern Freeway.
Site set-up works to build the new sewer will commence from mid-July and construction of the sewer will take approximately 12 months to complete.
Bulleen Road will stay open, but there will be changes to local traffic and construction impacts while we do these works.
