
Sports upgrades in Melbourne’s north and east are well on track to keep local clubs playing, with some facilities already finished and many nearing completion as part of a $68 million investment in local sports facilities while we build North East Link.
Change room facilities at Veneto Club in Bulleen, are finished and ready for use. The new facilities can accommodate multiple teams, including FC Bulleen Lions, as well as a separate space for match officials. Work on the new soccer pitch is also progressing well with light towers installed and synthetic turf now complete.

At Greensborough College, the roof and internal fit out of the new pavilion is complete and cricket nets and wicket pitch have also been installed. Natural turf has been laid on the AFL/cricket oval and synthetic turf has been laid on the soccer pitch.

The first stage of works has begun at Trinity Grammar School Marles Playing Fields, with the installation of new synthetic and natural turf cricket practice nets. New change rooms, archery range, and the relocation and upgrade of eight tennis courts will also be underway in the coming weeks.
