Traralgon Station overpass is now open

Back to Newsfeed

The brand-new fully accessible overpass at Traralgon Station has opened.

People of all abilities can cross the Gippsland Line at the station, providing a connection for residents to the centre of town as well as for train passengers.

We thank the community for their patience while we built the overpass, which features two pairs of lifts, stairs, lighting and weather protection.

We’re holding a community event at Traralgon Station this Saturday 29 April from 10am to 1pm to celebrate the opening of the overpass and thank locals for their patience while we delivered these upgrades.

Join us in the Queens Parade car park at the station for this family-friendly event featuring free coffee, kids activities and live music.

Minor works around the station precinct will be completed in coming months.

The project is delivering a new signalling system to enable additional services and future-proof the line.

Further disruptions will take place to enable these much-needed extra services between the peaks between Traralgon and Melbourne.
