We've completed major construction on the Hallam Road Upgrade and we opened the new intersection at South Gippsland Highway, Hallam Road and Evans Road earlier this month.
We’ve redesigned the intersection to improve safety and traffic flow, installed traffic lights and added new lanes so more vehicles can get through the intersection at each cycle.

We’ve added new lanes in each direction on Hallam Road between Ormond Road and South Gippsland Highway, and installed traffic lights to allow trucks to safely enter and exit the SUEZ Resource Recovery Precinct.

While major construction is complete, there are still some minor works and landscaping we’ll need to finish up over the coming months.
While we work, we may need to temporarily close lanes and reduce speeds. Keep an eye out for on-road signs to let you know when these works are planned.
